Nigel Marshall
Councillor of Stopsley & Training Officer
Nigel Marshall was delighted to be elected as a Ward Councillor for Stopsley on May 4, 2023, following several years of active volunteer work with the Liberal Democrats in Luton. Having lived in Luton for 38 years, Nigel has spent a significant portion of his career working in the town, currently holding a position at the Basepoint Business Centre in the Stopsley ward.
Nigel became a local councillor to continue the dedicated efforts of the Liberal Democrat councillor team, aiming to provide a voice for residents and to support the community and town whenever possible. He thoroughly enjoys his role as a local councillor, committed to assisting the residents of Stopsley and the wider town to the best of his ability.
In addition to his work as a councillor, Nigel contributes his time as a Trustee of Luton Culture Trust, supporting their commendable work for the town. He is also actively involved in Luton Friends of Parks and Green Spaces, where he helps promote and protect the area’s valuable parks.
