South Ward
December News
A lot of new updates have happened in South Ward, and more dates to save in the calendar too.
1) Steve and the Focus Team finally secured funds from the Council to install lockable barriers to the carpark in Stockwood Park. The carpark will now be locked at night to stop the late night car screeches and ASB from young car drivers.
2) Bollards on either side of mid exit from Memorial Park have
all been installed to stop nuisance parking up to the barrier obscuring the view of oncoming traffic for young children and other pedestrians.
3) After 2 years of campaigning by Steve and the team, he can now announce that the path extension in Osborne Rd from Premier Inn to the bridge will be included in the Highways Works Programme 2026/2027 financial year
